Each student is personally welcomed on their arrival at Atlantic Language Galway and receives a welcome pack prepared specially and addressed in their name.

 

This pack contains an individual student card as well as a student handbook, maps and guides to help new students settle in to life in Galway.

 

On their first day all students take a written and spoken level test which allows them to be placed in an appropriate level. Following this they attend a short orientation session where they have a chance to meet other new students and be introduced to various school staff members who are available at all times to assist  them in whatever way possible.

 

Following a coffee break the newly arrived students go to their first classes.

 

During the afternoon of their first day there is an opportunity to take a guided walking tour of the city in the company of the school's Student Welfare Officer. This gives the opportunity to get to know the city and make Galway their home from home.
