Climate and the West of Ireland

The climate in Galway, and in Ireland in general, is quite mild. Extremes are rare as the country’s weather is strongly influenced by the North Atlantic.

Because of variable and sometimes unpredictable weather it is always advisable to have rain clothes and an umbrella.
