Our Students are Important to Us

Each student is personally welcomed on their arrival at the school and receives a Welcome Information Pack prepared specially and addressed in their name. This pack contains an individual student card as well as a student handbook, maps and guides to help new students settle in to life in Galway.

Students, on their first day, attend a short orientation session where they have a chance to meet other new students and be introduced to various school staff members who are available at all times to assist students in whatever ways possible. They are invited to talk to the school’s staff members at any time.

During the afternoon of the first day there is an opportunity to take a guided walking orientation tour of the city, in the company of the school’s Student Welfare Officer, giving them a chance to get to know the city and make Galway their home from home.

We believe that feedback is important as it helps us provide a better experience and service for each of our students. For this reason students are encouraged to complete a questionnaire after their first week and on departure to make suggestions to the school.

Personal contact with each student is important so that we can see how they progress in their studies while also giving us an opportunity to hear feedback on how we are doing
