Job Shadowing for English Language Teachers
The Job Shadowing for English Language Teacher Course is designed to help English language teachers develop their skills by observing a range of methodologies in action.
By looking at our trainers in the classroom, you have the opportunity to analyse new practices and approaches. In follow-up workshops, you can discuss your observations and opinions with fellow participants. With fellow students, you can then explore ways to enhance your teaching skills.
The course provides an overview of the latest methodologies in teaching languages, explores new materials, and discusses how to make creativity a cornerstone of your teaching practice. You will work on some lesson materials personalized to your specific teaching context which will be presented at the end of the week.
Course Content
- Participate in directed classroom observations of a fellow teaching professional, one of our expert language teachers.
- Analyse observed teaching practices eg. differentiation, inclusion, the flipped classroom, presenting in a foreign language, etc.
- Relate observations to your own teaching practices and context.
- Focus on activities and practices you can implement in your own classrooms.
- Learn how to incorporate creativity into all aspects of your lessons.
