CLIL for Primary Teachers

This course introduces Primary Teachers to the principles of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) as a way to teach new languages to primary school learners. It will consider how to teach English in a natural environment where the focus is not on language structure or grammar but on language use in different real-life contexts. 

CLIL for Secondary Teachers

This course introduces Secondary Teachers to the principles of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), as an effective way to teach new languages to secondary school students.  

English Language and Irish Culture

Discover more about Ireland while improving your English language skills in Galway, situated on the Wild Atlantic Way. With this course, you can build your confidence in English while learning about Irish culture and society. English Language & Irish Culture will help you boost your English reading, writing, and speaking skills while getting to know and experiencing a new culture.

Creating Green Classrooms

If you would like to incorporate positive ‘green’ practices into your teaching, the Creating Green Classrooms course is for you. Teachers play a key role in communicating a progressive ‘green’ message to younger generations.
You will learn to integrate lessons about sustainability and positive climate action into your everyday teaching.

English Language Development

The English Language Development course is available at Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced levels. Participants have the opportunity to develop all core language skills through intensive immersion in dynamic international classes. The course is delivered by Atlantic Language School’s specialist ESL teaching team; with effective communication and interactive task-based lessons in its focus.

Job Shadowing for English Teachers

The Job Shadowing for English Language Teacher Course is designed to help English language teachers develop their skills by observing a range of methodologies in action. By looking at our trainers in the classroom, you analyse new practices and approaches. In follow-up workshops, you can discuss your observations and opinions with fellow participants. With fellow students, you explore ways to enhance your teaching skills. The course provides an overview of the latest methodologies in teaching languages, explores new materials, and discusses how to make creativity a cornerstone of your teaching practice.
