Robert Hanley – Director of Studies at Atlantic Language Galway
Robert Hanley is the Director of Studies at Atlantic Language Galway. In addition to ten years as an English Language teacher, he is a Trinity-certified teacher trainer who has also presented at international conferences such as Web Summit, BETT, IATEFL, the Language Show, produced successful language-learning mobile applications in collaboration with Cambridge University Press, and co-founded an award-winning digital language learning company.
He has previously worked as a CLIL ambassador to Austrian schools, and published research and commercial materials on vocabulary acquisition techniques and game-based learning. Before joining Atlantic Language in March 2016, Robert led an academic team on an EU project to develop learning technologies, and now oversees the planning and co-ordination of Atlantic’s Specialist Courses.
Purva Srivastava – Erasmus+ Specialist Teacher
Purva teaches both General English and Erasmus courses, including Academic Writing. She has an MA in English Literature and sees herself both as a teacher and as a student of teaching. Learning in her classroom is process-oriented, experiential and exploratory.
She has contributed materials to Atlantic’s specialist courses and is one of the head teachers in Academic Writing.
Katy Quinn – Erasmus+ Specialist Teacher
Katy joined Atlantic Language in 2015 and has experience teaching a variety of levels in General English as well as working with Young Learners. As part of the Erasmus+ program, Katy teaches Academic Writing and Academic Presentation Skills. She also has a Master of Arts Degree in Literature and Media, specializing in Feminist Literary Theory.
Peter Scargill – Erasmus+ Specialist Teacher
Peter has been teaching for 8+ years with experience in Erasmus + courses, Medical courses and general English courses. He has a Masters in TESOL from University College Dublin and has taught internationally for 5 years in Germany and Spain. Peter also specialises in Business English which follows on from his Bachelor’s degree in business.
Keith Howard – Erasmus+ Specialist Teacher
Keith has over 16 years’ experience teaching English at all levels. He has taught a number of specialised courses in recent years, such as Erasmus + for Business English and Academic Writing. In addition to this, he has also taught English for Academic Purposes and Marketing & Business Management as part of a Pre Masters Foundation programme. Keith also has a pre-teaching marketing background in the pharmaceutical and oil industries.
Katya Radovanova – Erasmus+ Specialist Teacher
Katya has experience in General English as well as Project Based Learning with adult and young learners. She gained her teaching qualification at the National University of Ireland, Galway and has also taught English in Germany and Bulgaria. As part of the Erasmus+ academic team, she teaches CLIL for Higher Education.
